Re: When to buy a stock for dividends

Friday's close on the Dow, -278 points is an example of the market not quite behaving as expected. The US employment news was good for February, 295,000 jobs added. Unemployment down from 5.7% to 5.5%. So, on first appearance it seems that the US [more]

Came across this unheralded article on the BBC news/technology page yesterday and thought it might be of interest to VOD shareholders. It appears that the University of Surrey's 5G Innovation Centre has managed speeds of 1terabit per second download [more]

Re: Revenue reserves

G12,

Reducing the reserve and increasing the dividend - isn't this what RCP have done?

I wonder if this will become a trend? Hope so.

Re: Revenue reserves

Hello G12,

Here's a look at an extract of one of Luniversal's revues of the Basket of Seven (B7) from last year. (I hope he doesn't mind me borrowing his excellent work) It shows revenue reserves in terms of months. The interesting anomaly [more]

Revenue reserves

Just a thought. Having pored over Luniversal's many interesting comparison tables of investment trusts, I noticed that there is quite a divergence between the various ITs revenue reserves. It got me thinking. Is there really any good reason for [more]

Hudl

Sorry to be the bearer of good news for Tesco, but 2 of my grandsons received Hudls for Christmas. They were absolutely delighted with them and after I was allowed to "have a go", I must admit I was mightily impressed with the graphics. [more]

The "Doomsters" don't seem to get out much. My impression of the UK economy gleaned from driving from one end of the country to the other fairly frequently are that "the UK economy is motoring". Car transporter after car transporter full of Jags, Land Rovers, Nissans, Toyotas, all made in the UK. A year ago there were hardly any. Mm, GKN?
