In all the reams of media coverage yesterday I didn't read a single article which suggested that Vodafone wasn't worth every penny of 260p.

At the very least I take that as a good a indication that the shares are currently undervalued.

Because the price has leapt by 11% today, your yield has fallen by 10%, from 6 to 5.4.

That's the funny thing with dividends, the better the share prices gets the worse the dividend.

If you're a gambler, sell now (10:45am) and buy back at about 4:15pm when the gains fall back a few percent.
