Re: Smart meters

If anyone's remotely interested , some meters can form a local RF 'mesh' network which can be used to forward data from a meter with no mobile coverage to one with coverage - think it works on licence free 868MHz

(This applies in the south [more]

I do appreciate the choice , although I'd say that 'small and independent' doesn't necessarily mean good beer!

Re: More racism

Sadly, I think they're against him because he has a 'touch of Cornish' about him.
He probably has to put up with lots of remarks about 'cream teas' and 'lucky piskies', which is frankly disgraceful in the 21st Century.

Re: Smart meters

Howdy!
I think there's another bit that creates an RF mesh Neighbourhood Area Network to pass data around. I'm going to dig out the slide pack...

Re: Smart meters

This is precisely the reason why I've never worked out why "smart" meters insist on a mobile (phone) connection.
-they use ZigBee as well. Not sure how it all fits together - have to ask our expert tomorrow!

Re: How much?

I've seen plenty of research (that I now can't find) that suggests absolute wealth isn't a big factor in determining happiness - it's relative wealth - how you compare to the people around you.

Re: London 2015

I'd be happy with somewhere like that - as long as booking isn't essential (we'd NEVER get a definite attendee list)

Re: London 2015

On the plus side, decent 'beer' normally means decent wine as well (excluding real 'CAMRA obsessives' specialist beer pubs)
Find a pub with just two fizzy lagers on and I guarantee the wine 'choice' will be warm Merlot and warmer Chardonnay [more]

Re: London 2015

Finding a pub is easy - we just want a pub that serves a great choice of decent beer, is in central London & is generally close to empty most of the time!

Indeed , what could be simpler !

Not the closest pub to the Wulfrun Hall, but
