Re: 'Blacklisted' phone

Not my area, but surely the phones must send their IMEI initially, otherwise the newtwork wouldn't be able to block the handset ?
LONG time since I've been involved but think there's a step in call setup - on GSM anyway

Ducklings, how many typically

Typical number ? I was down the river earlier this week and saw a duck with 13 (!!) in a flotilla behind her. Never seen that many before. All the same size, so hatched at the same time

Re: Lyrid meteor shower tonight

Don't think I've ever seen a really impressive meteor 'shower' !

I do still enjoy reading the boards. There's a lot of good stuff buried in there, and some very helpful (and intelligent) people willing to help out for no return.

I asked how they dealt with;

(a)Lack of storage for 'stuff'
(b)Cold winters

Apparently they have a house as well - they spend winters there, and use it for 'stuff [more]

Re: Bonds for spare cash in ISA

Been looking at the data and reading around a bit.
Any thoughts (positive or negative) on Gilt and corp bonds ETFs ?
The ones I know of are IGLT and SLXX: they are both (IIRC) based in Ireland - does this add an additional risk?
